...and then I'm off to Alberta (Banff, to be exact), to rehearse a show! I'm now a part of Parks Canada's Mountain World Hertitage Interpretive Theatre Troupe - what a mouthful!

I am stoked. Stoked! This is going to be a fantastic job. It's an 8-week contract, and not only do I get to travel to Alberta and do an out-of-province show, but I am also fortunate enough to be working with Kyla Read, whom I went to school with, then toured a children's theatre show with, a few years ago. Now, we get to do it again - although this time, I get to act, instead of being Production Manager.

We'll be rehearsing in Banff for 3 weeks, touring Calgary schools for 2, Edmonton for 2 (possibly with a Kelowna show thrown in the middle for variety), and Western Alberta for the last week. The last time I did an out of town show was straight out of high school, when I set off for New Hampshire for a month (not counting filming in Victoria. Or sketch in Seattle. Hmm.) - this time, it's closer but twice as long. So exciting!

I flew into Calgary and took a shuttle up to Banff for my audition, and it was beautiful. I'm so glad that I get to see it again! I'm driving up this time, with another cast mate, Gemma Issac (she's actually on the other cast, but, same troupe!) - what makes it better (cooler?) is that we all went to school together!

This contract has all of the makings of a fantastic show, and time altogether, and I am excited and very happy to be a part of this. If you're in Alberta, I believe we're touring elementary schools - keep your eyes peeled for Mountain WHIT, and "Faces of Fire"!
